Timesaving product available for spring 2012 provides season-long control of grubs and crabgrass in one early season fertilizer application

Knox, Ind. - Granted EPA registration late in the 2011 planning season, Knox Fertilizer Company is looking to 2012 as a breakout year for its unique combination fertilizer, Shaw's® Turf Food with Acelepryn® and Dimension®. Providing season long control of crabgrass and grubs in one early season application is a timesaver for busy golf course superintendents and lawn-care professionals.

"Superintendents and lawn-care professionals have been looking for a more efficient method of fertilizing and controlling common pest and weeds. Available now, Shaw's Turf Food with Acelepryn and Dimension helps eliminate two of the most challenging turfgrass pests while providing balanced plant nutrient needs for as long as 90 to 180 days.

The new plant food-insecticide-herbicide combination is a granular product that is easy to apply with standard equipment to provide excellent, uniform coverage, even in difficult-to-reach areas.

About Acelepryn

Applied before or during egg-laying, but before egg-hatch, Acelepryn insecticide controls all white grub species plus key insect pests, such as annual bluegrass weevil, cutworms, caterpillars and crane flies. It has low impact on non-target organisms.

About Dimension

Dimension herbicide provides excellent preemergence and early postemergence control of all three types of crabgrass - large, smooth and southern species - when applied before crabgrass tillering. Dimension will also control or suppress more than 40 annual grass and broadleaf weeds with exceptional safety to turf grasses.
